Land O'Lakes butter is planning to remove the famous Indian woman from its packaging after 92 years.

In a statement released in February, Land O’Lakes President and CEO Beth Ford said the company is going to repack all of its products in time for the company's 100th anniversary.

Ford said, "As a farmer-owned co-op, we strongly feel the need to better connect the men and women who grow our food with those who consume it. Our farmer-to-fork structure gives us a unique ability to bridge this divide."

The package that will replace the Native American woman features the words "Farmer Owned" in large text at the top of the package.
