A University of Miami professor who just happens to be an expert on drug cartels was arrested and charged with laundering money from Venezuela for cartels, taking more than $250,000 for himself.
Bruce Bagley, a professor of international studies at Miami, co-authored the book, "Drug Trafficking, Organized Crime, and Violence in the Americas Today" and has written multiple journalistic articles on the subject. He has now been charged by federal prosecutors with laundering more than $2.5 million into the United States.
