VDOT Working On Neighborhood Roads

Also Looking for Ice

Richmond, Va. (Newsradiowrva.com) - VDOT has moved onto secondary and neighborhood roads, with the interstates and major roads mostly clear.   VDOT's Bethanie Glover says they continue to work on clearing the shoulders of the interstates, as well as intersections of major roads, in hopes of avoiding melting and refreezing on those roads as temperatures dip.

VDOT will continue to monitor for slick spots overnight.  They are still asking people to be careful while driving, and allow more time for stopping.

Glover says this storm was made easier to clean by the rain at the tail end of the storm, which lead to some melting.
