Prince George County, VA _  Police in Prince George County are asking for help in tracking down an inmate who was mistakenly released from the Riverside Regional jail after providing staff there with false information.

The inmate, identified as Juan Pelaez-Marroquin, age 20, of Chesterfield County, was incarcerated at Riverside Regional Jail and awaiting sentencing. In January, Juan Pelaez-Marroquin pled guilty and was convicted of two charges of forcible sodomy in Chesterfield.

A search of the immediate area for Juan Pelaez-Marroquin met with negative results.

Pelaez-Marroquin, who is described as a Hispanic, 5’09” male, brown eyes / brown hair, and weighing approximately 180 pounds.  He was last seen wearing a white T-Shirt, a pair of gray shorts, and black (Velcro) Jail issued tennis shoes.
