Richmond, Va. (Newsradiowrva.com) - Richmond Mayor Levar Stoney is isolating after having tested positive for Covid.  Stoney took the test after starting to feel symptoms.  His close contacts are in quarantine.

Stoney says the symptoms are manageable.  Because of the isolation, Stoney's State of the City speech, scheduled for Thursday, will now be done virtually on February 11th.

In a statement, Stoney says, “As my personal experience should tell you, while there is reason to be hopeful due to the distribution of the vaccine, this pandemic is still far from over and must be taken seriously.”

Stoney had to quarantine this fall after a close campaign contact tested positive.
