Richmond, Va. (Newsradiowrva.com) - Crowds gathered at Richmond Raceway early Saturday morning, as area health districts held a mass covid vaccination event. Hours long waits were reported.
The event was supposed to be one of two hed this weekend. However, Sunday's forecast forced the Richmond-Henrico Health District to postpone Sunday's shots to Tuesday. Those scheduled for Sunday are being asked to reschedule and to check their emails.
The initial vaccine rollout has been plagued by confusion and vaccine shortages, although Governor Ralph Northam announced this week that more shots were going to be available, and that the Commonwealth was centralizing registration.
