Richmond, Va. (Newsradiowrva.com) -- Henrico Doctors Hospital, Chippenham Hospital, Johnston-Willis Medical Center, and John Randolph Medical Center are looking for eligible volunteers from Central Virginia to donate plasma to help current coronavirus patients in need.  The HCA Hospitals are participating in a plasma study, using the plasma of recovered coronavirus patients to boost the immunity of those currently suffering.

To be eligible, you need to be symptom free for at least 14 (they prefer 28) days and have a subsequent negative test.  People who tested positive for COVID-19 and have since tested negative can help by donating plasma through the American Red Cross or another local donation center. To find out more about the donation process, eligibility and locations to donate in Central Virginia, please call their dedicated COVID-19 Plasma Phone Line at (833) 582-1971.

VCU Health is doing a similar study.
